Adventure after Adventure

I sit here upon this BEAUTIFUL forest gump green couch! Yes you heard me fellow readers, we have a couch and it is a corner seat couch! All I am saying is LUXURIOUS! boom Baby!

But mind you, I did not get rid of the BURNT orange floral print loveseat and chair my mother so graciously gave me. These still remain attached to me at the hip. Yes mother, I still treasure them.

My adventures have taken flight right off the bat as soon as I came back to Salt Lake City. School has began. Let me tell you, get in the swing of things, trying to remember how to study, and how to not put off homework quite the task. I am doing it though! Thumbs up for me. I do like my classes quite a lot. Philosophy is most intriguing. Really knocks at your brain, gets you to see other opinions. I love seeing a bunch of old friends and making new friends. Everyday I get to see a new smiling face. During classes I study in the commons room, and well all those who know me... realizes what catches my attention first. In the back of the commons room, there is a glorious skinny table with a flimsy net that cut right down the center. You all know what it is? The Ping Pong Table. The feeling of "So we meet again," races through my body. I just love sitting there waiting for a worthy opponent to step up to the plate. They look at me and think oh a girl, Easy win. I laugh loudly to myself so no one can hear... play easy at first, then CONQUER! Although recently I have been humbled...you can't win everytime. I absolutely LOVE ping pong. There is something about it that just makes me stop thinking and just concentrate on the game, the way you move your paddle back and forth, which corner to hit it to, how fast of an attack you want to shoot to the corner. Some get this thrill through dance, basketball, soccer, football; I choose singing and Ping Pong. Another moment of "So we meet again," when the lights are out in the Sacrament room, I use my persuasive skills :) to have Troy let me into the locked room so I can tickle the ivories on the Grand Piano. I am so Genius when it comes to the Piano, but it gives me a rush of emotion as I think of random words to put to the random noise I bang on the keys.

Now back to the beginning where I said I am sitting on this beautiful couch. I forgot to mention how lying in front of me is only the most wonderful system ever... yes ladies and gentlemen... it's a NINTENDO 64. Included with the games Mario Kart, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, and so on. We have had some worthy competitors attempt to take me on at Mario Kart. Unfortunately they needed 3 of them to bring me down. Ha ha ha. We will see if anyone is able to knock me off my royalty position. I absolutely love having friends over and getting into the game and yelling at it or them or falling over dramatically as i take a loss. These bonding times are life's precious moments.

For those of you who don't know, I am no longer alone. I have a ROOMIE! Karaska Crow is the most radiant, lovely, kick butt roomie anyone could ask for. We are realizing how much we are a like. Which makes things quite lovely in our household. We both seek for crazy adventures and love GIDDY movies(we talk back to the tv a ton). It is nice to come home and find a smiling face just waiting for the next adventure. Today our adventure includes Temple baptisms, and maybe some thrift store hunting and IKEA! Who doesnt love IKEA?

On Sundays Karaska and I have started a BON APETITE group. Each sunday we do a dinner from a different country. Last sunday was Germany. Mom and Grandma I made you proud. Although i don't think most people are a fan of Saur Kraut as I am. Too tangy? ha ha. It's all good I ate enough for everyone. Next sunday is ITALIAN!
Thought of the DAY: I find it interesting that people run away from things they find out of their reach or things they are scared of. Sometimes I think people need to realize they can do it, if they set their mind in the right place. Satan is that tool that is adding the words CAN't, won't, Scared, afraid, or so on into your vocabulary. Why don't you try out the words like Yes, sure, okay, I can, I will. Come off conquerer. Whether it be showing off your talent, talking to an old friend, mending ties between a friend, on an adventure that is a little out of comfort zone. (The last one just make sure a lot of thought process is behind it. I don't want to hear of anyone jumping off a bridge just for the adventure). Every day we are given the chance to say something, to speak up what is on our mind, but we sit in silence. Why is this? I say sometimes we have to just take the leap and remember if we didnt try at all we failed indeed. If we take the leap at least we know the answer to what could've been.

I love you all and I just want my family to know I think about you all EVERYDAY! This weekend I get my sister and bro in law with me. I am grateful for the time they took to visit and just to bond with little ol me.

My adventures are only beginning, I have much more to come. It's time for me to strap on the seat belt because it's going to be a bumpy ride. But guess what world...... I'm ready!

Santa Claus is coming to town.

I love to see the temple! Ok... so I am big into making goals, I have had this one for a while. I want to do baptisms in as many as I can. The Salt Lake Temple is so pretty, I am so grateful to live close to a beautiful artwork of Heavenly Father.
I moved into my new home on Halloween of this year. My room is HUGE! Except not so huge once I put all my loveliness inside. My oh so sweet roommate decided to start a fire in our fireplace, now my room stinks to high heaven. Smoke smoke smoke. Apparently our chimney is not as cleared out as she thought.

As you can see below there is a sweet awesome Nativity Scene. I attended a nice breakfast with Jenny and Kyle Swingle, we had to make a Nativity out of play-doh! Ours was by far the best. Later that day Jenny and I played some racquetball, I haven't played in awhile. I forgot how much I like it. But sadly...she definitely kicked my booty.

Have you ever missed your childhood, well if that is the case... make a fort! Childhood memories were the best. Imagine having no worries, you could be running through a jungle, flying on the back of a unicorn, or even being a damsel in distress hoping her True Love would come and save her.
Although being a little childish is fun, sometimes you have to grow up and smell the sunshine... this is why I have another job. I picked up another nanny job on Thursdays. Two kids 7 and 13. I am learning you can't get adult worries get you down. The lord is always with you. If you focus too much on mistakes or what you are afraid of, you get no where.
Today is Wednesday... and Saturday I will be coming home to the land of California. Oh how I love it so. Are you all excited to have me back? Amber gets married on the 29th! Crazy! My little sister is growing up.
I worked out last night... and I am use to working out my legs, but I never really do my arms because I have no upper body strength...well I did last night. Let me tell you, my upper body is aching. Dad i keep on trying to think... "Pain is your friend" ... but holding a baby with sore arms, ha ha kind of difficult.
Christmas Season is definitely upon us! Celebrating Jesus Christs birth, Christmas Eve, Roast Beef Sandwichs, Santa is coming, Candy Plates, Stuffed Stockings, and best of all Family Bonding! My family I love them a ton a ton. If any of you think you can beat me at golden eye 007 or mario kart, GIVE ME PEACH and I take you all on!!

Turning over a new leaf!

Alrighty!! I am turning over a new leaf and getting back into this. I want people to be able to know what I am up to these days. I go through many adventures. :)

The last time I wrote this was in May. Since them my life has taken roller coaster ride in different directions.

I now am living in Sugar House, UT. A little cute town right outside of Salt Lake City. So close indeed that my mailing address is Salt Lake City. Speaking of mailing address if any of you want to honor me with a letter just because you love me and I love mail. Just go for it. Just say hi, and sign your name. :) 1501 S 1300 E
Salt Lake City, UT 84105
All I am saying, if you are sitting in front of the TV and you are just thinking about me....pull out a piece of paper, jot down a few lines.... bonda bing bonda boom! Ta DA, a letter for Adella is in the mail. If you would like a letter returned to you, make sure to put a return address. :)

The adventures of Adella... start off with the joy of little boy's laughter as I wipe left over spaghetti sauce off of 2 year old Finn's face. Then the smell of a raunchy dirty diaper from the most precious Harper. I do not know how a little girl could produce that kind of smell. In the words of Jonathan Pierce, "Girls DO NOT poop!" News flash Jonathan this little girl poops like there is no tomorrow. If you haven't guessed, YEP, Miss Adella Frederick is a NANNY!! I love being around Finn and Harper they are just so cute. When Finn doesn't want to do something, he always pulls his famous line.... "But, I love you!" It makes me giggle, he knows how to work it. They have a dog named Maxie, and he is well trained. When the kids are all tucked in and sleeping, in Harper's case snoring, Maxie takes that as his time to get the attention. I sit on the couch and he continues to put his paw up trying to shake. .. and then proceeds to lay on his back trying to get me to rub his tummy.

I live in a house with 3 other girls. We do not see eachother often because our schedules are opposite hours. I live upstairs and have my own room with 2 closets! Did you hear me? I have 2 closets I AM SO EXCITED!! ha ha. And to answer your questions, I even brought my parents furniture along with me. Those who have known me for a while....do you remember the burnt orange floral bring couch and chair, yep they are in my living room!!

Another adventures, I have recently made quite the amount of goals....and accomplishing them.

1st goal: I will not being eating sweets or have fast food until January 1st. There are exceptions... Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now. Boom Baby! I have hung out at fast food places and stayed strong. I have been around sweets and been offered sweets and I stand strong. :)

2nd goal: Getting back in shape. . . so... with the help of my wonderful parents( early Christmas Gift), I have joined 24 Hour Fitness. They have cycling classes I will be attending and Zumba. You wonder what Zumba is? Well... let me tell you! :) Latin Hip-Hop.... I will learn to have sweet moves, and tone myself. yeah yeah yeah.

3rd goal: Finishing up school and moving forward. I will be reattending LDSBC in January and getting it done!!

Well there is much more for my excited life, I hope to keep it up and keeping filling you all in.

Thunder and Lightning!

The Storm is here! It is crazy, lightning and thunder all over the place. Love it! The windows are shaking and the rain is pounding on our ceiling... love love love it!
I haven't kept up with this in a while. Let's see this weekend was quite busy we had to plan an activity every day. We had an Ultimate Frisbee game, Bonfire(with ghost stories), the rodeo plus a barn dance, and on sunday water games, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid.

Funny story: At the Rodeo right before I had to sing... I was given permission by my boss to ride his dirtbike to go get something. But the first time I have ever messed up on a dirtbike sadly, I barely hit his truck with the bike. Ha ha. The only thing that was hurt was my CTR ring. It was smashed to the point that it was cutting off circulation to my finger. Oh joy! ha ha. I sang the National Anthemn with my finger swelling like a balloon. Then after they used plyers to twist it the other way, causing it to get smaller. So with the help of lots of lotion and 3 people I was able to get it off my finger. Now the ring fits my pinky. :)

I went to church on Sunday. I liked it a lot because they 2 Elders serving in their ward spoke. They talked all about being positive. I am realizing here at this resort if you aren't happy, nobody's happy. If you keep a positive attitude and focus on the good things on life then you will keep moving forward. If you are negative, you just sit still in a spot of boringness and frusturation. So I choose to be happy.
I met this nice lady from Belgium & France. Since I work at the buffet as front hostess, I see everyone come in for dinner. This lady and I became great friends. She wants to exchange living places, ha ha. She is probably 60 years old, not married, and she loves to travel. We exchanged emails and she wants me to come visit her. Or she wants to come visit California. She lifted my day up so much. The people you meet and bond with really do surprise you at this place.
I have made some really great friends here and I love it. 2 of them Kiersten and Natalie are planning on living in Hawaii with me in the winter, along with Karaska. I am saving up money to do it, and I am so excited.
Today I went ATVing, that was a kick.
I really do love this place and all it adventures I am coming across.
Oh yeah and I dyed my hair Dark Chocolate Brown! Surprise! ha ha. I love it. My hair was pretty much orange because the other color went out, so I wanted something new.

I am coming home on the 10th of June to the 17th...so I am way pumped to see everybody that is home! I have missed you all dearly.

I am going to try to attach pictures to this post, we will see how it goes.
Well I love my family, and friends, and everybody just so you know.
Remember to love life always and the gifts you are given.

Attacked by a Bedframe!

Alrighty so life just keeps getting better. In order to do errands we had to drive it to St. George. I was able to enjoy In and Out, and a mango madness smoothie that was amazing!
I worked my second night as hostess and it went smoothly, thank goodness.
So last night was my first night with hanging out with the locals. They play basketball every tuesday and thursday night, it was enjoyable. Except usually here the guys all play and the girls just cheer them on. So lame! So a few of us girls would play our own game into their games. Their idea of going to get food late at night(unlike us which is iHop or Village Inn) is to drive 30 minutes to a gas station and buy food there. Interesting. Also their idea of fun is "Bunny Bashing" where you take a big truck with lights and park it in a field. Then you take golf clubs and attempt to chase the bunnies and bash them. Apparently it is quite difficult. I don't think I would be able to do that cruel act. Ha ha, but they come up with interesting fun activities. They are all cowboys with big trucks.
This morning I was getting ready for work minding my own business. There is a full size bed frame leaning up against the wall by my bed. Well let's just say it fell on me. It slammed into my back and shoulders. At this moment I sit at my desk with a bag of ice and meds in me. It got me pretty good. I am pretty sure I will have a massive bruise.
Oh and I played Toni another game of ping pong. Right now we are 2 and 2. I am curious on who will win the tie breaker. We both get way intense into it, and the guests enjoy watching us. We are their entertainment. :)
Well I better get going, so I can sit here and complain about my pain, ha ha.
Oh one more thing, I am now a nanny for the resort owner. She has 4 year old quadruplets. I watched them yesterday for a bit. They are so cute, and they warmed up to me real fast. I get to drive them on their Rhino(nice atv) all around the resort to show them the horses and the petting zoo. We went on the swings yesterday and got ice cream. I nanny on my free time during the day. It is pretty sweet.

Heigh Ho...Heigh ho...it's off to work I go...

I had my first day on the job for being a hostess. I greet people and hand them a cup before they go in the buffet line. Oh yeah and I take their money. :) Apparently friendly conversation gets you tips, not too shabby. Except you split it amongst the cooking staff so by the time it gets back to me, i can get a lollipop. ha ha.
Imagine having to drive 45min-1 hour to drive to church. Yep that is what we did. I love church so it is definitely worth it. Time flys by when you are with girls and singing EFY music at the top of your lungs. I think all of Zion knows that we love heavenly father! It was Stake Conference, and it was packed. I thought our Stake Conference back home was large, surprisingly these little towns are full with mormons.
Then in order to enjoy the Lord's beauty on the sabbath, we took a 4 hour hike into the park. I will post pictures hopefully tonight. Observation point is beautiful! Then I know you all know, I am not so much a runner. I despise running. Well... we ran half of the way back. And I loved it. Ok, mainly because it was mostly downhill. But I loved it. I don't think I can ever say I had an experience in my life where I loved in that much.
We had a small planning session last night for Memorial Day weekend. We are having a rodeo and barn dance. I get to learn all the line dances this week, that way I can teach everyone else. Also on friday night a bonfire, and a night hike. Loving it!
I don't know if any of you have seen the old movie Sabrina, but I watched it Sunday night and i loved it. It was a little weird at first, but I recommend it. And no I do no mean Sabrina the teenage witch.
Today being Monday, I woke up at 7:30am for our Event Planner meeting. Then had breakfast and got cracking. I took a couple on a tour of the resort with the help of one of our managers. I am still learning the ropes around here. That was an hour long. Then from 10am-12:40pm... I did pool duty! Woohoo. I checked the levels of the the pH and chlorine, and temperature. The best part was the upper pool had been closed and completely dirty. Well today was the day to open it. So I had to vaccuum and get all the gorgeous little buggys off. Funny thing is, I enjoyed it. Weird huh?
I have not had a job yet that I do not like. Tonight I go into town to go shopping for Memorial Day weekend. That is about an hour and half to get there. Yippee!
I apologize I do not have pictures yet to be attached with my blogs. Eventually I will put them up, I promise.
Working the pool has it's funny moments. Two days ago Hailey and I were cleaning the pool and there was this wasp that decided to sit down right on the edge as we were cleaning the bugs. I had this brilliant idea. We trap the wasp with a net, and scoot it into the water, and drown it. So Hailey went slowly preparing for attack...the wasp sat oblivious to the terror that was about to happen...and then she swooped down...the wasp took off like a rocket towards us. We dropped our nets screaming and running to the opposite side of the pool. The wasp was not happy with our plans to kill him. He continued to stock us throughout the rest of the time we cleaned the pool.
Another fun moment... today there was a large group who went swimming while I was cleaning the upper pool. There was a guy from Africa who did not know how to swim. They were all teaching him. It was funny and cool at the same time. He was pretty good by the end of it.
Anyway this busy bee has to jet. I hope I caught you up. Love ya all! Toodles!

Another day in the sun...

Waking up early again...was wonderful. I cleaned the pool this morning! Meaning check the pH levels and chlorine and vacuuming it. What fun!
The rest of the day, they wanted me to get to know the resort...so I went ATVing. That was so sweet. We rode for an hour and man it was intense. We went off the roads and they had sweet paths that you could barely fit the ATV between 2 trees and I did it no problem every time. ha ha. Then at the end we took it riding through a mud hole. I was covered!
Then we went shooting with a 20 gage Shot Gun( I think I put that right). We shot clay pigeons and I hit 5/10. For a first time, not bad, I think. :)
Then we went swimming and the pool felt amazing. Dinner is in a half an hour and I swear I need to watch what I eat or I will get fat. The goal is to lose wait not gain.
Tomorrow is church, there is no singles ward sadly. It will be a family ward and it is Stake Conference. I wonder what it will be like.
Well I have to jet. Adios.
